Planning
Sheet Parish Council are involved in local Planning Strategy. Planning applications made within our Parish Boundaries are referred to us for initial comment and approval. We are committed to be impartial, fair and our decisions will be open and transparent and based on sound planning principles! We are committed to restoring the pride of this Village and Parish back to its former glory! Agendas for meetings will be openly available on this website and meetings will be advertised in advance. Members of the public will be welcome to attend meetings . Watch this space for further developments!
Strategy
We are responsible for Sheet Village local assets that have become ours again after nearly 80 years! These include the Village Hall, Billiard Room, Recreation Field , Sheet Common, Millennium Field, Sheet Green, Sheet Allotments to name but a few. We will be working hard to deliver value for money to our Parishioners together with an open door policy towards the use of these valuable assets!We plan to conduct a thorough maintenance and renewal programme on village assets that have been woefully maintained in the past! Plans currently include the renewal of the posts around the green and new noticeboards for the Parish on both sides of the A.3. Watch this space for further developments!
Results
We don`t want to shout it from the rooftops but already Sheet Parish Council are delivering value for money and some real cost savings for the Parish! Already, reductions in running costs in care taking services in the Village Hall and various other savings have been achieved! Watch this space for further developments!
